2 About Himalayan Community Project
Himalayan Community Project is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Kathmandu, Nepal. We work to improve lives in remote Himalayan communities through programs in education, health, animal welfare, disaster relief, and community development.
Our registration is in compliance with the laws of the Government of Nepal and the Social Welfare Council.

5 Volunteer Engagement
Volunteering with HCP is subject to our separate Volunteer Agreement, which will be provided upon acceptance of your application. By applying to volunteer, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information in your application
- Respect the communities, beneficiaries, and staff you work with
- Follow all guidelines and instructions provided by HCP coordinators
- Maintain confidentiality regarding beneficiaries, especially children and patients under our Helping Hands program
- Not photograph or record beneficiaries without explicit consent as directed by HCP
HCP reserves the right to decline any volunteer application or end a volunteer engagement at its discretion if the volunteer's conduct is inconsistent with our values or harmful to our communities.
6 Intellectual Property
All content on this Website — including text, photographs, graphics, logos, videos, and program descriptions — is the property of Himalayan Community Project or is used with the permission of the original creator.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any content from this Website for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
Your Submissions

7 Helping Hands — Patient Referrals
When you submit a referral through our Helping Hands program, you confirm that:
- The information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge
- You have the patient's or their family's consent to share their details with HCP
- You understand that HCP will assess each referral based on available resources and program capacity
- HCP does not guarantee assistance to every referred individual and will prioritize based on urgency and resource availability
All patient information is handled with strict confidentiality in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8 Hike for Health Program
Participation in HCP's Hike for Health program (every Saturday in and around Kathmandu Valley) is at the participant's own risk. By joining a hike, participants:
- Acknowledge that hiking involves physical activity and inherent risk
- Confirm they are physically fit to participate or will inform the coordinator of any health conditions
- Release HCP from liability for any injury, accident, or loss that may occur during the hike
- Agree to follow the instructions of the hike coordinator at all times
HCP takes all reasonable precautions to ensure hike safety but cannot be held liable for unforeseen circumstances.
9 Disclaimer of Warranties
The Website and all content on it are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. HCP makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding:
