Caring for one another is what makes us human. When someone is sick, scared, and without resources, a helping hand is not charity — it is dignity.
Himalayan Community Project began supporting cancer patients when we saw how many families in remote Nepal were devastated not just by illness, but by the crushing cost of diagnosis, travel to hospitals, medication, and treatment. We stepped in because no system was stepping in for them.
Today, we are expanding that work through our Helping Hands Initiative — a broader, ongoing humanitarian effort to support anyone facing a health or financial crisis that they cannot manage alone.
What Helping Hands Covers
Cancer Patient Support
We have directly contributed toward the treatment costs of cancer patients who could not afford care — covering hospital bills, medications, diagnostic tests, and travel to treatment centers. This work continues.
Emergency Medical Assistance
When a family is hit by sudden illness or accident and has no savings to fall back on, we step in with emergency medical funding to ensure they receive timely care.
Health Camps in Remote Villages
We organize and support first-aid and health camps in underserved communities where the nearest clinic may be hours away.
Connecting Patients with Services
We help families navigate the hospital system, identify the right specialists, and access government health schemes they may not know are available to them.
