Whether you volunteer, donate, or offer support, your contribution helps us improve lives in remote Himalayan communities across Nepal.
Those who truly believe in the principle of "Live and let others live" are inspired to become dedicated volunteers. A true volunteer expects no personal gain or reward for their service but finds satisfaction in making a positive difference. Our volunteers work selflessly with commitment, passion, and responsibility to support people and communities in need. They do not seek fame or recognition; instead, they strive to create sustainable social and environmental change. Through their dedicated efforts, they help improve the quality of life, inspire hope, and build a more caring, inclusive, and compassionate society.

The true value of life is measured not by how long we live but by how much we give to others. Even animals naturally share food and shelter, reminding us that kindness and compassion are essential qualities of life. As human beings, we should always act with generosity and humanity. Our greatest legacy is not the honors or titles we receive but the positive impact we leave in the lives of others. Every thoughtful donation can bring hope, happiness, and new opportunities to those in need. Therefore, donate wisely and ensure your contributions reach genuine people and meaningful causes, creating lasting change and a better future for everyone.

Caring for one another makes us happier, while indifference creates isolation that weakens humanity. Every living being depends on the help and support of others, and no one can truly live alone. By helping those in need, we strengthen humanity and build fraternity, which is essential for peace, prosperity, and sustainable development. Even the smallest act of kindness can make a lasting difference, just as a single spark can ignite a great fire. Your support may inspire hope, create opportunities, and transform someone's future. Therefore, let us extend our hands to those in need and empower them to live with dignity, equality, confidence, and hope for a brighter tomorrow.
Be InvolvedEvery project follows the same community-led process—from listening to local needs to delivering transparent results.
Village committees tell us what their community truly needs before any project begins.
Local staff and volunteers work together with the community to design the project.
Our teams travel—often for days on foot—to deliver projects where they are needed most.
Every project concludes with photos, financial reporting, and measurable outcomes shared publicly.
We operate on a simple rule: no project begins until the community itself has asked for it. That keeps our work small enough to do well, and honest enough to keep doing.
Since Nepal was terribly hit by devastating earthquake, April 25 Earthquake, Himalayan Community Project is wholeheartedly providing relief aids for more than 50 families . HCP provided food stuffs, tents and GI steel strip during the disaster. Still the poverty stricken people are homeless and they are sheltering in small huts since the government of Nepal has not allocated sufficient budget to reconstruct their houses. Thus, our upcoming project is to build Community Settlement which can be inhabited during disaster. We are raising fund for this project at the moment. No sooner we have sufficient fund, we start this project. In the first phase, we are planning to build community settlement in rural part of Dhading district.
From education and healthcare to animal welfare and disaster recovery, these community-led programs are making a lasting impact across Nepal.
Every day, countless street dogs across Kathmandu struggle to find enough food to survive. Through our dedicated feeding program, volunteers prepare and distribute nutritious meals along regular community routes, ensuring vulnerable animals receive consistent care. By reducing hunger, improving their well-being, and fostering compassion, we help create stronger, kinder communities where people and street animals can coexist with dignity.

Since the parents of school children are not sufficiently well off in rural part of Nepal and the desires of the children from grass root and high economic status are same, we really don't want the children from low economic background to be deprived of stationeries during their study period. Thus, we are providing educational materials like stationeries, school bags, uniforms, crayons and the like to the needy students who are studying in rural part of Nepal.

Learn moreHimalayan Community Project began in 2012 as a small group of trekking guides raising support for their home villages. Following the 2015 earthquake, our work expanded, but our mission remained the same: communities identify their needs, and we work together to create sustainable, long-term solutions.
