As part of its ongoing commitment to environmental conservation and community well-being, the Himalayan Community Project successfully organized a tree plantation program in Tarakeshwar Municipality–5, Kathmandu. The initiative focused on restoring greenery in a local park and a landslide-affected area, where approximately 150 saplings of various native species were planted with the support of volunteers and community members.

The plantation drive reflects the Himalayan Community Project’s mission to promote sustainable environmental practices while encouraging people to actively care for Nepal’s natural heritage. By increasing green spaces and supporting ecological restoration, the program contributes to a healthier and more resilient community.
The event was also connected with the Hike for Health program, which combines outdoor adventure, physical wellness, and environmental responsibility. Participants not only enjoyed a healthy hiking experience but also gave back to nature through meaningful conservation work. This initiative demonstrates how community engagement, healthy living, and environmental stewardship can come together to create a lasting positive impact.
The Himalayan Community Project remains dedicated to organizing programs that inspire individuals to explore the outdoors, protect the environment, and strengthen local communities through responsible and sustainable action.
