Himalayan Community Project is truly a non-profitable organization established aiming at enhancing whole humanity through various social works in especially remote area of Nepal. It is said, ‘One doesn’t necessarily have to achieve college or university degree for social work but kind heart and true feeling of humanity is enough’. HCP is also composed of all kind-hearted people who passionately are committed to the social works. They all are always prompt to sacrifice themselves for welfare of the society. Man is mortal. Death is inevitable. Before one faces the death, one must write a history through some remarkable sacrifice and contribution which make one immortal forever. Riches, pelf and power are temporary but the true and unselfish sacrifice and contribution are always immortal.
HCP notably participated in fund raising and relief works during the time after Nepal was hard-hit by April-25 earthquake. A number of relief works were carried out directly in the affected remote areas of Nepal including distribution of food stuffs, tents, utensils and other sanitary kits. The people in sympathetic condition felt somehow relieved from the extreme situation at the moment. But we basically focus on educational sector which is considered to be the backbone of development. A number of children in the remote area of Nepal are deprived of education and we consider that this not the responsibility of government but also the responsibility of private sector through non-profitable organizations. Recently, we are helping the needy children of remote areas of Nepal with stationeries, school bags, uniforms and the like. Simultaneously, we are helping in overall development of school such sponsoring teachers, sponsoring needy students and also affording financial for the construction of school blocks.
